If you've ever tried to interface a 3.3V device with a 5V system, you know how challenging it can be. The Silicon Technolabs Bi-Directional Logic Level Converter is a compact and reliable solution designed to safely step down 5V signals to 3.3V and step up 3.3V signals to 5V simultaneously. It also supports logic level shifting for 2.8V and 1.8V devices.
This logic level converter safely and simultaneously step up and step down signals on the same channel. Each converter supports four bi-directional channels.
Key Features:
- Supports voltage translation between 5V, 3.3V, 2.8V, and 1.8V systems
- Bi-directional signal conversion on all 4 channels
- Compact and easy to integrate into your projects
- Ideal for I²C, SPI, UART, and other digital interfaces
- Dimensions 15.24 x 12.7mm (0.6 x 0.5")
How to Use:
Using the level converter is straightforward. The board must be powered by the two voltage sources used in your system:
- Connect the high voltage (e.g., 5V) to the HV pin
- Connect the low voltage (e.g., 3.3V) to the LV pin
- Connect ground (GND) from your system to the GND pin on the converter
Once connected, the converter will safely handle voltage level shifting between the two systems, making it an essential component for mixed-voltage projects.
